I may not be the biggest Dresden Dolls fan ever, but I am a big fan of the guy who snapped these pictures at their recent show in San Diego (December 30^th | House of Blues).  I have seen them live though, and they put on a hell of a show.  Their cabaret-on-meth sideshow is worthy of the cult following that manifests at their performances and equally enthusiastic audience participation is practically mandatory. Taken from his debut album, ((UN)), “Symphonies” has thus far been the score to Dan Black’s red carpet rise stateside.  A beneficiary of the iTunes “Free Single of the Week” over a year ago, he’s still gaining momentum.  An alternative version of the song, featuring KiD CuDi (who seems to be on a level of ubiquity just shy of Nicky Minaj or God) was also released as a bonus track on the album, furthering his street cred.  Who knows, maybe there’s a Kanye collabo in the future…or even a Bieber remix!
