What in the rave is going on?! If I were to judge a book by its cover, and I totally do…..just like wine, I would mistake this trance track for the Ecstacy-driven house shite you’ll hear nonstop at Hot Topic, or whatever neighborhood goth shop posts up in your town mall.  However, once again my patience paid off and gave way to exhilaration at the sound of lead singer, Alice “Through The Looking” Glass’ shriek. Potentially the love child of Alice Liddell and the Mad Hatter, her screaming continues to invoke wonder and it is no doubt the stage show is a fucking trip.  Just make sure you don’t get on her bad side.  Apparently she and her mate, Ethan Kath, have left a streak of touring messes, involving poor sound checks, stolen gear, and an image of Madonna sporting a blackened eye.  Check Pitchfork.com for the details, but needless to say these castles ain’t nuthin’ nice like She-Ra’s palace in the sky.  Perhaps the track should be dubbed “Baptism (By Fire).”
